JOB DESCRIPTION & TITLE
Children's Church Administrator


To direct, administrate, organize, make decisions, delegate responsibilities and make plans for the future in the youth and children's ministry.

-To monitor and coordinate youth and children's events throughout the year.

-To maintain the vision of the department as a helps ministry to Pastor, the church and the community.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Oversees activities of every aspect of the children's ministry including Youth (ages 13-17), Esther Girls, Cadet Point Men, Vacation Bible School and Super Student Tutoring Program.
  2. Coordinates monthly schedules.
  3. Organizes extra-curricular activities, special projects and outreaches for children.
  4. Teaches in the class as needed.
  5. Works with the teachers and assistants to nurture the children and monitor their progress.
  6. Provides department with curriculum and training.
  7. Evaluates space, equipment and materials needed for the department.
  8. Implements new workers in departments.
  9. Maintains communication with teachers, parents, department leaders and church administrators through weekly reports and/or monthly newsletters.
  10. Demonstrates proficiency in computer data entry and word processing in order to maintain children's records: full names, date of birth, grade, parent's names, address, phone number and other important data.
  11. Supervises and monitors department leaders and activities. Provides encouragement and assistance as needed.
  12. Conducts workers, department and leadership meetings.
  13. Coordinates and maintains yearly youth and children's ministry budget.
  14. Attends intercession regularly, during service times and during week.
  15. Must share vision of Pastor and motivates the departments towards the vision.
  16. Must demonstrate the attitude of a servant willing to do whatever it takes to do the job.
  17. Prays in the Holy Ghost, studies the Word, always having insight, creativity and direction for your department.
